  1. I will have to try this as I am currently on a sugar-free, starch-free, gluten-free, grain-free. soy-free, nut-free, dairy-free, fruit-free (I cheat), mushroom-free, tomato-free, shellfish-free, chemical-free diet too!! All precipitated by finding a tick in my nose in May and having a TIA (or what doctors think is a TIA) a week later followed by some very strange behaviour that is not in the realm of normal for me. My candidia is also very high, and I have tested positive with Naturopath Voodoo medicine but the Ontario (Canada) health care system says no I do not have Lyme.

I gather you are from the states? Lyme is a very TABOO and touchy subject up here in Canada. Doctors and Health Canada refuse to take reports from people bitten by ticks and with the associated 150+ symptoms, and unless you have a very textbook erythema migrans you will not be looked at; even then, if you dont have it in the doctor’s office they dismiss you. I however am quite stubborn and also lucky: I saved the tick and placed it in a vial to be sent in for testing. It came back positive but I am still having strange strange body issues. Waiting on Igenex, Inc results from California as my ND is a LLND.

Other recipes, as simple or complicated I would love to hear about. Keep positive!!

    • Marion I am so sorry to hear what you are going through. Lyme can actually be a pretty touchy subject in the US too. But a lot of people in Canada do seek treatment here. My doctor actually treats people internationally through Skype, email, etc. here is a link for his clinic:

He also has free treatment manuals and webinars for education here:

I know he is treating patients from Canada and the UK

      • Thanks so much! I am starting week three of my diet restrictions and it is bloody hard. Strange though, when I follow the diet to a dime, such as week one, I felt wonderful in week two. Then I cheated. Now week three feels awful. My ND suggested paleo- recipes so I will definitely look into this information. Thanks!

      • Some people ask me how I can even survive with these diet restrictions, but it has been a way if life long enough now that it is second nature. The longer you go without cheating the easier it is, your body stops craving the bad stuff. You will also feel so much better that it will be worth it, and then if you do chart (I’ve been there plenty of times) you feel so horrible it’s just not worth it.
